Fifi & Florence... many thanks for letting the Belonga UK team stay at your Maison for a few nights, we all had a wonderful time and your hospitality was very much appreciated. The ride out to the Volcano Park was very scenic (and Mick gave us all a special view of his Valkyrie when he slid it down a ditch). The Moto Museum we visited was one of the best seen and it was good to meet Coyote, Nathalie and the other FR VRCC member (I forget his name sorry).

Jane & I are looking forward to meeting up with you at Fifi's house and going on the Volcano ride

Thanks Fifi, put it on the UK site, not much time left to get there...

It is possible that Inzane will not be held at Torquay, as the roads in the area are not really suitable for rides of large groups of bikes. However it is a very nice area and the Hotel is really good. The 2013 event would be worth the journey.

Yes, I understand the verdict can be appealed against or a private prosecution can be taken with, this is something Gary's family will consider and maybe take action, our thoughts are with Carol at the moment.

You may remember one of our members Gary was killed by a Farmer, when his vehicle overturned and crushed him, sadly to say the Court found him not guilty of the charges against him, We in the VRCC UK are disgusted by this verdict, clearly its ok to chase and run down bikers here in the UK, link attached, Ride Safe my friends when in the UK!

Thanks Guys, l am sure French Tyres are great, but the delivery drivers not so good, never managed to get one so took the car back to Toulouse Airport and left it there.....big expense in a few weeks maybe, look forward to seeing some of you in Czech Republic.

Hi We are staying with our English friend Pete, north of the Pyrenees, having a great time, but again I have a flat tire after a lovely drive through the mountains, not biking it so we fitted the spare on the 307. Spent all morning yesterday visiting 7 garages in Tarbes, no one had Continental tyres, so they wanted to fit two of another make....I understand why. Eventually found one, and getting it fitted Monday, It seems whenever I visit France I buy a new tyre...That's Life

We had our 10th Anniversary Party in Llangollen, North Wales last weekend, two good rideouts in the Welsh mountains (and rain) live music in the evening, Sumo wrestling, plenty of good food, Welsh Beer and I expect a few bottles of French Wine..Fifi !

We may well have next years meeting at the same location, so if you like the idea of Narrow twisty roads, Rain and Sheep, why not come along, It may be at the end of July 2012, I will keep you posted.

You may remember one of our members Gary died last year following an accident involving a farmer, the case is still in the courts so we are unable to talk about it.

On Saturday we had a memorial ride to celebrate Gary and raise funds for Cancer Research, a cause which Gary & Carol had cause to be very involved in.

Gary served in the Royal Navy for part of his life, and we were granted a special pass to display our bikes in front of HMS Victory, Nelsons flagship at the Battle of Trafalgar, moored at Portsmouth, which is well worth a visit if you are in the area.

Hi We had our second Midlands meeting at Corby Northamptonshire a couple of weeks ago, the Rideout was to Kirby Hall an Old English Stately Home which has fallen into poor condition, but now being looked after. We then went to Rutland water a large flooded valley to provide water for the Midlands, then on to the longest Viaduct in the UK.

Much beer was drunk in the Evenings, with BBQ and an English fry up breakfast in the morning...all very unhealthy, but good ! !

Hi All, I have just gone to change oil and oil filter that I purchased from Honda Dealer out here and filter is genuine part but the replacement is about half an inch shorter in the body.The part no is 15410-MFJ-D01 and the one on the bike is 15410-MM9-P03.I have also checked David Silver spares and he quotes 15010-MCE-H51 and obviously I don't know what size that is! Does anybody know if the French Honda Dealer has sold me the correct one? Easier to know where I stand before going back to the dealer,language and all.

We are all in shock in the UK - Gary was an early member of the VRCC not long out of the navy (23 years service incuding the Falklands conflict) and had a propery in France for some time, a big guy with a big love for life, He had a larger than life personality, and will be badly missed, our thoughts are with his Wife Carol and his family.

We had a great day at the Brightona Meeting at London By The Sea (Brighton) down on the south coast on Sunday, I think this will be our last sunny day this year in England, Hope you have a few more sunny days in France.

Fifi...No we had to suffer with the warm brown english beer with live yeast swimming around in it, its not easy but we have strong & large bladders over here

We had our 1st VRCC Midlands event this weekend at Corby, Northamptonshire, (This was a steel making area in the past) it was held at a country park where they have an annual transport gala / show with many types of exibits, the VRCC was asked to attend to show our bikes.

We also had a treasure hunt around the local area, We won the event...mainly because we were the only ones doing it, we think the rest of the club were in the pub maybe.

The Valkyrie Lady was awarded to Tony Juster for the best Valkyrie with his custom painted standard complete with beetle bags and trailer, I was hoping my Black Valkyrie equiped with rare French Tyres would take the prize but it was not to be.

If you look at the photos you may notice that the house looks a bit French, we are told that the owner was having a house built in France and in England at the same time, they mixed the plans up by mistake and built the French one in England....somewhere in France you have an English Stately home, you are very lucky!

Yes we missed out on Lyon unfortunately and also Nimes, but were made welcome in Millau by Pat & Nine and also stopped over in Moulon where I enjoyed Escargot & Cheval washed down with Leffe. Yesterday we visited Reims which has some beautiful buildings.

Tonight I was in the garage removing the alternator I borrowed...then back to work, all over so soon.

Jane and I managed to get back to the UK today without further Electrical or Tyre problems. We had a great time at Bussang meeting old friends and making new ones, a big thank you to all who organised the event and contributed to the success of Inzane4.
